Then listen to one of the greats! Ira Glass knows how to craft a story and is simply one of the best out there today. What I love about this series is how he shares how bad he was at first. (As in not just rejection, but simply horrible). So on those days you feel like your draft is shit – perhaps it is not – but if it is, see it as one of the stepping stones you need to go through in your practicing to be great! Below is part one of four (all of which are available on Youtube so I am only posting the first here).
I knew it had been a long time since I had written anything on this blog. I had not realized it has been almost a full two years! In fact, in just under 2 weeks it will have been 2 years.
There have been some massive changes on my end. The world trip is now over. You can read the condensed version of the trip over on Newfoundland’s online magazine The Independent’s Chasing Summer motorcycle adventure series.
I have finished two more e-books in the past year as well. One a mini handbook on Buying and Riding a Motorcycle in South East Asia and another longer book on adopting our Thai street dog Mango and traveling with him.
And I also finally finished the English translation of Patrick’s book of his first world trip: Fernweh: Around The World On A Motorcycle.
All our e-books are available on both Smashwords and Amazon as well as most of the other ebook retailers such as itunes and kobo!
And the biggest change of course is that since I last wrote here I have become a mom. Patrick wrote the sweetest post about it over on our shared blog Unleash Your Adventure titled A New Adventure Has Begun. It still makes me teary eyed when I read it, it is so sweet.
So that has been my past 2 years! From writing the last post in the heat of tropical South East Asia to freezing my butt off here in Berlin!
